The Official Weigh In

Well Jamie went to the doctor today for his four month check-up. The doctor says he is growing well and developing fine. He currently weighs 16 lbs 10 oz and measures 26 1/4 inches in length. He is in the 90% for his height and weight, so he is a big boy, but not too big. The doctor said it was fine for him to have his cereal and fruits and veggies up to twice a day. Most days I am lucky to feed him the cereal once a day, and that seems to be enough for him. His issue with dairy will go away in time, at least that is what we hope. Around 6 months I can have some dairy and then feed him and see if he tolerates that, if so then I can go back to eating dairy. If he doesn't like it then we wait until he is 9 months old and try again. In the meantime if I have to give him formula I am to give him soy formula. Seeing as how I don't have any, and don't really want to go buy a can of it and him not use it, Jamie will not get any sort of formula.
On another note, I am currently looking to do some sort of job in the home, along with being mom, maid, cook and driver. There have been stories on the morning news about moms doing jobs in the home, like medical transcription or medical coding, and it kind of appeals to me. Something that I can do in my own time and I don't have to be tied to a phone is ideal, honestly it is the only way I could do anything. Only thing is you have to get special training, and who knows when I will have time for that. I would like to do something other than clean and cook, I need to do something that utilizes my brain. I have also thought of doing something in the craft arena and trying to sell it on Craig's List, or something like that. No idea what I would do, but it is worth a shot. So, I am just looking right now, getting my research done to see if it is really something I want to pursue.

Kelly- I have a small can of Soy Similac if you want it. It was one of the freebies from the hospital. I know Meredith won't use it, so you are welcomed to it.
