phone drama

so pat and i have decided to upgrade our phones and join the rest of the world with texting. well our cell phone carrier gave us the run around all day yesterday. pat went into one store and they told him he couldn't upgrade phones yet b/c our upgrade time wasn't due yet. then we went to another store last night, we were told the same thing, we need to wait until october to get the full discount available. so i chatted with someone online, she tells me the same stuff and i tell her i think it is crazy that we are willing to upgrade phones and service, pay more money to them and they are telling us we have to wait to do this. so, i then call the account services people and after and hour and 15 minutes on the phone, we will all be getting new phones monday and our service has been upgraded. at first they were going to sell the phones to us at a higher price and i asked why, then they acted like they were doing me a huge favor by knocking money off. so in the end andrew is getting a lg rumor, pat gets a samsung exclaim and i get a blackberry. so don't be alarmed if i start texting you or emailing you from the crackberry. just shows that you have to hang in there and push to get what you want....and you have to be willing to be on the phone for ever!
