Jamie's birthday

so i am a month late in posting anything about jamie's fourth birthday. nothing major happened, just had cake and family over. we had just gotten back from florida a few days before so i was no where near energetic enough for a big birthday bash. he had a cake with purple flowers, which he loved, and a darth vader candle, again which he loved. he had asked for a purple darth vader cake, so i did the best i could. jamie got a darth vader potato head, called darth tater, a playmobile vet clinic and a few other things that right now i can't recall. pat made him a huge sandbox that is under the sundeck and he made a fire cab on the playset, as well as moved the swings to their own little place in the yard.

so jamie is now four and we have one more year of preschool and then he is off to big school with his sister. he is very excited about one day being able to ride the bus with her and go to her big school, although he thinks she will be with him. i am also starting to rethink the decision we made to only put him in preschool three days a week. i think he could have benefitted from five, but of course our bank account would not benefit! so hopefully during the next school year he will grow more independent and will seperate easily from me. i still enjoy having him home, i will miss snuggling with him in the chair reading all his library books, going to the store and having him help me shop. i am sure that my days will be filled with volunteering in his class and kiera's, which will be nice to be able to do.
