My children are taking upon themselves to clean up this earth, one dirty yard at a time. The other night we were all outside enjoying the cool weather(well it wasn't 99 with 99% humidity) and Kiera saw her vacuum and decided she would suck up all the dirt on the driveway. Well not wanting to be left out of the fun, Jamie quickly followed and they both had a blast cleaning up the yard. The next night Pat introduced Kiera to the shop-vac and she loves it! She got it out and realized that it sucked up way more dirt than her vacuum, so she used it for a while cleaning up the saw dust on the driveway.
Other than that, we have not been up to much. It has been so hot here that I don't dare to take the kids outside in the middle of the day, we haven't even gone to the pool. We have gotten out the plastic pool and used that some in the shade in the front yard. I worry that the kids will get a burn, especially Jamie, and he seems to also get a little heat rash when we are out for too long.
Right now we are looking forward to Andrew coming back from camp, we have to make a sign for the front of the house. And we are also looking forward to the beach trip in August. It will be nice to get away for a week. Then as soon as we are back we have one more week and then school starts. Before you know it I will have to get Kiera registered for kindergarten, which I think we may do year round with her and then get Andrew on the year round schedule for middle school.
Oh, other exciting news......Pat finished the deck that he built to lead to the back yard. It looks really nice and he did a great job!
