Nana

Here is a picture of Nana, not sure the date, but I think it is a lovely picture of her.

Most of you know that my grandmother passed last October after battling Alzhiemer's. Well this past Sunday her ashes were placed in the family plot. I was not able to attend but my sister said it was a very nice service, filled with both laughter and tears. She was a great woman who was loved by many and will be missed. I will always remember how she would give the biggest hugs, even though she was a small woman, and how she wouldn't let anyone in her house without feeding them! She wouldn't take no for an answer so you knew when you got there that you would be fed, no matter if you were hungry or not.

I had asked my sister to read a poem that I got after Andy died, it always brings me a bit of peace when I read it and thought it would be nice to share with others.

ASCENSION
And if I go,while you're still here...Know that I live on,vibrating to a different measure--behind a thin veil you cannot see through. You will not see me,so you must have faith.I wait for the time when we can soar together again,--both aware of each other.Until then, live your life to its fullest. And when you need me,Just whisper my name in your heart,...I will be there.
