Quiet Time

I LOVE quiet time. I had been bad about not having Kiera have quiet time and wasn't really consistent with Jamie's naps either, but now we are in full force quiet mode around here. I am having the kids go to their rooms at 1:30pm or somewhere around there, and then let them have their time for a few hours. Kiera gets up a bit before Jamie, so she and I can read a book or do something else fun. Last night Jamie went to bed pretty easily, he screamed for a few minutes, but actually was asleep in his bed when I checked on him at 8:45pm, which for him is early! He did get up at 1am and Pat ended up sleeping with him, so we have to break the habit of needing us to get to sleep. Hopefully he will get the hang of sleeping in his bad and get over this hump of needing us to fall asleep. When I put him down for quiet time today he knew what was coming, but when I told him to get in bed and lay down he did, and he was sitting there crying when I left, but at least he was in bed. We shall see how it goes tonight. Of course the trip in a few weeks will shoot this all to hell as Jamie will be in bed with us and there is no way we can put him in the room alone and let him scream in a condo.
Well I am off to get Kiera so she can play with her playdough, she has been asking for the past 30 minutes to play with it, so guess it is time. Have a nice Easter!
