our master bathroom

If you all will recall, our little one flooded our bathroom in June. we had it ripped out and thought we could easily do the job ourselves. It took some time but Pat got the new shower framed and got the floor ready for tile...then it hit the brakes. We, meaning Pat, just didn't have the time to work on the bathroom with all that is going on with work and other things that need to be done around the house, and he only has the weekends. And keep in mind he has to work some weekends and drive Andrew back and forth to his father every other weekend. So maybe a month ago my brother came over and helped put down a few tiles and it was starting to take shape. Then nothing could get done for a while. This past week I looked at Pat and asked if we could please pay someone to come in and finish the bathroom as we are both tired of sharing the hall bath with our three kids. So one of Pat's customers, who happens to do flooring, came over today and laid all the floor tiles and it looks awesome! He is coming back tomorrow and is going to do the grout and sealant. Pat has been helping, I called him the tile b***h as he was running all the little errands that Rick needed him to do. I have picked out the tile we will do the shower with, and figured out a design somewhat. Even though we are going to pay Rick, it will be way cheaper than had we gotten someone out of the phonebook. And we are going to see if he will come and do the basement bathroom too. So we could soon have two more baths in the house....how excited are we!!!! Once it is done I will post pictures....it will be the best day ever when we can shower in our own bathroom.
