Who needs sleep????

Jamie is a wacky kid when it comes to sleep. Once he was done with his crib he was really done with any sort of scheduled nap. He may fall asleep in the car when getting the kids from school, but I can't get him to stay in bed and rest during the day. Well yesterday he fell asleep on the ride to get the kids from school. No big deal, at least that is what I thought. He was totally passed out by the time supper came around, two hours into the nap. I moved him up to his bed, thinking that if he was out for the night then he will be in bed. And yes, he has had times where he has gone to sleep at 4:30pm and not gotten up until the next morning. So he sleeps all evening, and Pat and I are finally ready for bed at 10pm. Well at 10:22pm we hear the door open, and my words were, "that better be a cat and not a kid." It was a kid. Jamie comes stumbling in and I thought he was just going to go right back to sleep in our bed. This was not the case. He was wide awake, laughing, playing, wanting a cup...all the good stuff. So I turn off the tv and think that he will go back to sleep if we are not paying him any attention. Nope, he was up even when we were asleep. I got him back into his bed at 12:15am with a cereal bar and he stayed there. I have no clue what time he went back to sleep, but he was up at 8am. Kiera also got up last night to go potty and in doing so felt the need to turn on our bedroom lights along with all the bathroom lights. That was a fun way to wake up. So I got up this morning a little before 8am, had plenty of coffee and am waiting for Jamie to pass out again. We will have a little rest time after lunch, I need to start this with him anyways. I am sure he will not be thrilled to be in his room resting, but let's hope he gets used to it quickly.
