busy little bees

things at the house are moving right along. today i woke up to a ladder being placed outside my bedroom windows by the carpenters who are replacing rotten wood. glad i am able to move fast and get out of bed before they were up the ladder and looking me in the face! the painters have been here, but not the past few days since it has been rainy. the landscaper will be back later this week or next to put down grass seed and put up the fence. inside i have taken down some wallpaper in the masterbath, it came down really easy since it had been up for 34 years. now i need to fill a few holes and sand some stuff down, then i can prime and paint. i figure it will be the same color as the bedroom. i may do the dining room before the bathroom as i can get that done pretty quickly. i am just doing the bottom part of the dining room below the chair rail, in time i may get a different color for the top, but for now it will do. andrew has told me that he would like to have his room lime green, which doesn't go with his bedspread at all....it is blue. i told him that maybe he could have one wall painted green, but i am not doing the whole room. i figure the fall/winter i will be doing the kitchen and family room. taking down the wallpaper in the kitchen and painting the wood paneling will take a lot of time. my mom came over last night. she said that in time i will need to paint all the trim and windows, which i am seeing as well. the brown teim just doesn't cut it. i can do some of the trim, but i am not good with windows, so we may need to have someone come in and do that. it will be a work in progress for some time, but i think it will be well worth it in the end, whenever that may be!
