Giving Tea

Kiera had her Giving Tea today and it went well. I know for next year to get crafts that are a little more involved, the ones I got today were way too easy. And I also know for next year to just buy the treats as not near as many were eaten as I thought would be and I baked LOTS. Guess the teachers at LES will be getting lots of goodies tomorrow!!
I am really happy to say that all the girls brought over lots of toys for the kids at UNC hospital, it is way beyond my expectations! I may try to do this again next year, maybe we will do it a different way...like a family BBQ so it is more of a big party and people can just come over to hang out and I won't feel like I have to entertain anyone. Granted the girls were wonderful and hung out most of the time by themselves while I had coffee with another mom.
Pat has been sick for the past few days and seems to be getting better...I highly recommend the alka seltzer quick packs, they work. Now let's just hope none of the kids or me get the cold in the next few days.
So now that the tea party is over I now have ot look forward to making dinner Christmas Eve and making food to take to my mom's the 23rd when we celebrate with her, and right now I don't want to be in the kitchen so we may cereal for Christmas dinner.
I took a picture of Jamie the other day as we walked into Target b/c he had his coat on backwards buttoned and the hood up covering his face. If you watch Modern Family, he has a tendancy to act like the kid Luke from that show and at that moment I was again reminded of that. All I can say is that my child is special.
