Well Jamie's top two teeth popped through last week, and I am so glad they did! He has been miserable with them coming in. He also was miserable because he has an ear infection in both ears, so he is on meds now for that. I know I had said earlier that we would be adopting Havana, well now we won't be. When I took Jamie in for his doctor appointment last week they asked about allergies, I told them no major ones in the family, but let's have him tested as he is now crawling all over the dog and floor where there is dog hair. He hasn't been able to shake this cold since December and I wanted to make sure that he wasn't allergic to dogs. Well we haven't heard back yet, but we took the dog to the adopt-a-thon this past weekend and their may be a man interested in adopting her. He has a single floor home which is better for Havana, she is really getting a lot slower at going up and down our stairs, and he has another older dog that could keep her company. So as much as it stinks for us, we are trying to make the right choice for her and get her into a home that is best suited for her needs.
On another note, I started my job last week and it is going fine. I worked with a bunch of highschoolers yesterday and that was not fun. If I ever do it again I think I will let the nasty side of me be seen....they did nothing but yap about prom and how tired they all were because they had all been up so late the night before. You know I wanted to look at them and go, " You don't know tired until you are up with a 3 year old until 11pm and then have to wake up in the middle of the night to nurse a baby and then be up at 8am to deal with the kids again." But I didn't since it is my first week, but next time all hell will break loose. And when I say they did nothing, I mean they did nothing...at one time I had three screaming babies on me and nobody offered to help. One girl came over after a few minutes of the screaming and offered, saying she just realized what was going on, so at least she took one. But then another girl had the audacity to set another baby at my feet when I still had two screaming babies on me....yeah, next time the "mom" side of me will come out with the highschoolers.
Other than that, nothing else is new here....oh yeah, my sister is getting married, finally! I think the date is April 6th of this year, like in three weeks. It is just going to be the two of them and the parents, then later in the year they will do something big, which I get to help plan!
