Fancy

If you have a little girl I highly recommend the Fancy Nancy books. Kiera has enjoyed them for some time now and was totally thrilled to get the Le Targe (that's fancy for Target...you'll get that once you read the books) catalog to see that now Fancy Nancy herself is available for purchase, as is her dog Frenchy. Of course this is all about a month late as Pat and I would have bought up all Fancy stuff for the birthday girl.
Of course walking through Target Kiera saw all the items and wanted Frenchy most of all. So Pat and I came up with extra chores for her to do in order for her to get the dog. She has to mark off 16 spots in order to get Frenchy and she is really working hard. Today she helped me clean the bathroom and straighten up my room. Tomorrow she will put away some of Jamie's clothing in order to mark off another spot.
Andrew has also gotten in on this and is wanting a new DS game. So he has about 60 spots to mark off and he is quick to offer his help. He gave Jamie a bath and changedhis poop diaper the other day, helped make dinner tonight and offered to give yet another bath to his little brother.
Since we don't give allowances we ar ehoping that by having the extra chores the kids will learn that they have to work for the extra things they want in life. Kiera has already made another chart so she can work to get the Nancy doll after she gets Frenchy....that chart has 40 spots...we do 1 spot for each dollar the item cost. Needless to say Pat's chart for the flat screen will be huge!
