I got home on Thursday and I was very happy to see my family, and they were happy to see me. Pat did really well being at home for the week with the kids, but he was so happy to get back to work on Friday.
My grandmother did fine with her surgery and seemed ok afterwards. She had a morphine pump the first day and it was gone by Wednesday, which was a rough day for her. She was so used to being on so many different pain pills that I feel she was in withdrawl. She had about ten pill bottles in her bag which we took home with us. Her primary doctor prescribed her what I feel is way more than one person needs. Hopefully with her hip all healed she will be able to be pain free.
So far since I have been back I feel like I am playing catch up. I was headed to the store yesterday but worked in Jamie's class instead and I still have not gone grocery shopping. Today we went and ran errands in order to get ready for Kiera's tea party on Saturday. She is very excited about her friends being able to come over. Tomorrow I hope I can get to the store and not have to work in Jamie's class, it is jsut so much easier to shop when I am kid free. I end up coming home and realizing I have forgotten stuff whenever I shop with the kids. There is a new grocery store nearby that is really nice, same kind I have been to before but just a new location. so it is nice to shop in a nice new store.
We are buying a piano from some old neighbors of ours. They are downsizing and needed to sell and we jsut so happen to be looking for one. It is a wonderful piano, I feel bad as it was the husband's grandmother's piano, but we will take very good care of it. Andrew is helping to pay for it since it will be his to play on since he is the only one who knows how. the family room is all ready for it, so maybe by the weekend we will have it in the house.
