Trip to Florida

I am going to Florida with my mom this Friday for a few days while my grandmother has hip surgery. Pat is taking the days off work and will be a stay at home dad for a few days. He also has to work my days in Jamie's preschool, so that should be an interesting experience for him. I know he and Jamie will enjoy the days together, and the kids will have fun with him as well.
Jamie is doing well with the potty, at least with peeing. He refuses to poop, so we won't push it. I tried to bribe him yesterday and he was not interseted. So I guess we will just put him in a diaper and let him go there and he will one day get it. He went to school yesterday in his big boy pants and came home dry.
We still have not found out about Andrew's school for next year. We should be getting something this week or next. If he doesn't get into the year round school I have no idea what we will do. Kiera will most likely stay where she is, especially if we are planning on buying my dad's house in the next year or so. I don't want to move her to a new school only to move her again. So we will have the kids on different schedules, but I don't think it will be that big of a deal to take Kiera out of school to go on vacation.
Sara is becoming more herself every day. She is a dog who does not like to be alone. I kind of feel like we got a different dog than what we were told. We were told she wouldn't mess with the cats, well she wants to chase ours. She is good with the kids, but is mouthy with them and will chase them if they run. She is an energetic dog, which means she needs lots of excercise or she gets nutty, which we wanted a more laid back dog. She does lay around the house, but after a little while she is ready to go play and run. She loves the dog park and we try to get her there a few times a week so she can chase the other dogs. One of my friends may bring her dog over for a play date, which will be good. I am reading how to stop her mouthiness as she has brought Jamie to tears a few times and I will not have that. Some websites stated to stop and be still, but when I see my child getting mouthed by the dog the last thing I want him to do is be still. And I think it will be hard to tell a 2 year old to be still when being bit. I think she may need more chew toys to keep her mouth busy. She is picking up the kids toys and will drop them when you tell her to, but she will go back to them. She also has this thing of bringing down my shoes or socks if she is getting anxious. Maybe she needs to be on meds, but I hate to drug her. I tried to look for herbal remedies, but found nothing at the local store. We love her, but she is nutty....guess she fits right in with our family.
I probably won't post again until after I am home...have a nice week!
