I know it has been a long time since I posted anything, the days just slipped away from me. So, let's see....what has happened since I last wrote....we had a birthday party for my dad. His siblings came to town and we all went to his house to have lunch and visit with family. Andrew played poker with his uncle and his great uncle, he cleaned house! My brother was not too happy as he had just taught Andrew how to play the weekend before. Kiera had fun playing with her cousin Avery and Jamie enjoyed hamming it up for all the cameras. We got Sara spayed, that was an event. The doctor who released us took her wrap off(she was not the doc who operated) and it caused issues. So I had to take her back to the vet a few days later with something gross coming out of the incision and the vet told me the other vet got in his business and shouldn't have. I could tell he was a bit irritated! When I took her back to get the stitches out a different vet saw us, she peed on him as she is a chicken, and he even noted that she was the dog the other vet spoke about and the issue with the wrap. So, Sara is famous up there now...everyone knows us. It is sad when you don't even have to give your name when you walk into the vet clinic b/c you have been there so many times in the past few months with one dog.
Andrew started lacrosse and is so happy to be playing. He is going to play defense this season and is ready to whoop on some people. I am heading to Florida next week with my mom as my grandmother is having hip surgery, again. She is having surgery on the other hip this time, so I am going to spend some time with her and help out and be with her in the hospital. Pat is going to brave new waters by taking time off from work and staying at home with the kids. As long as the kids are healthy and somewhat clean when I get home I will call it a success. Maybe this will start a new tradtition of me getting away once a year!
We are waiting to hear if Andrew got in the year round school, if he didn't I have no clue where he will go as we are not thrilled with the base school. Andrew also got enrolled in the Duke TIP program. It is a program for kids that score well on end of year and other standardized tests.
Oh, and it snowed again last week...and then this week it was in the 80s! We are all ready for spring to be here so we can enjoy the outdoors. That is about all that has been going on...oh, Jamie decided yesterday afternoon that he wants to wear big boy pants. So he has been wearing them and has had a few accidents, but he is doing well with going when I ask him to go. Guess he just decided it was time to use the potty.
