Kiera is always saying "OMG", I think she gets it from tv shows she watches. I try not to let it drive me nuts, but it does. Now Jamie has taken to saying it. The other day he looked at me and said, "OMG mom, come wipe my butt." We were all in the bathroom getting ready and he was on the potty...I tried not to laugh and was quick to let Pat know what our youngest had said.
Another big OMG moment is that Pat and I are without kids. I will say that again, Pat and I are WITHOUT kids. Andrew went off to camp today and Jamie and Kiera went to their own "camp" yesterday. Pat met his parents yesterday afternoon to drop off the kids and they will be staying in Maryland for a few days, possibly a week. We really have no idea for sure how long it will be, but they are having a blast so far. Today Grandma braved Target with both kids for a shopping spree in which the kids were able to pick three things. Jamie got a garbage truck, of course, and Kiera got a book and some dolls. Pat and I have adjusted to life without kids. I thought I would be sitting around with nothing to do, but it is amazing what can fill your day when you are not running after little ones. Yesterday while Pat was taking the kids I was able to go for a walk with my sister, she was not appreciative today for that walk, and I got some cleaning done. Once Pat got home we just kicked back and relaxed. Today I got up and cleaned up Jamie's room and did some other general cleaning then went to the mall with my sister and then hit up some other stores with my sister in law, I love living so close to family! Tomorrow I will take Pat to get his back massage, his father's day gift, and I will probably run errands or do something to fill my time. I am going to try to get my hair colored this week, I am thinking a deep red, like flame on red. If you have seen "X-Men" when Phoenix is in the movie, I want her color red hair...hopefully I can find what I want and not look like Ronald McDonald. I am sure that at some point Pat and I will make our way to the pool and hang out and swim and do other little things around the house. I need to order Andrew's go-kart while he is at camp and hopefully when he gets home it will be ready to roll. Pat and I are going to enjoy this time together, who knows, maybe the kids will have "camp" again next year!
