Trip

The cousins

PJM I, PJM II, and PJM III

I don't think I ever posted anything about our post to see Pat's sister and her family and his aprents last month. Well, we went to see them over Pat's mom's birthday and it was fun. The trip up there was long but the kids were great, never once did they cry or whine the whole trip, and we did a lot of driving! We got there late Sunday night, about 9pm, and were up early to head out to the beach Monday, about 7am. It was a two hour drive to the beach and Pat and I were a bit looney on the ride, I think it was lack of sleep. We kept qouting "Talladega Nights"..."shake and bake" and "i'm not going to call you dad...." and you know the rest of that one. We also played our special car game of counting cemetaries. I may have told you about this before, but it all started on a trip to the beach when I was pregnant with Jamie. We were driving through little towns and it just popped up..."where to they put all the dead people?" I know, very morbid, but don't act like you haven't thought the same thing going through those small towns. So we then started our car game of counting the cemetaries. We play it any time we are in the acr together, there have been times when we are on the phone with each other and one of us is driving and we will count them off...a little unfair to the other party not in the car, but too bad. We even got Pat's dad in on the game, I think he had fun even though he may not admit it. So at the beach it was crazy. I haev not been to a beach like this ever, it was way crowded, like you are elbow to elbow with your neighbor and you hear every little conversation. At times I was a bit claustriphobic(however you spell it), but I managed. We walked around the baordwalk and the kids had fun at the arcade. The next day we went boating with his parents and two cousins, William and Henry. We anchored and swam a bit in the chilly water, but it felt really good and was lots of fun. That was about the extent of the trip, nothing major happened. Here are some pictures from our little excursion.
