Pat and I joke that I am the COO and he is the CEO or president of our household. If you want to get technical I am also the executive chef, personal driver, on-call doctor, sanitation engineer, financial planner, AR and AP department, grounds keeper and maid....but I like COO better. Pat is also a grounds keeper, head of maintanence, general contractor, and the sugar daddy that keeps us afloat.
Anyways, this past week has been busy with Kiera having her first full week of school, dance class, Jamie having preschool and all of us just getting back into the swing of school. Monday Jamie cried when I dropped him off, today was way better. He is really tired when he gets home, but he was able to wait until 2pm to go down for his nap. He had lunch while he watched Maggie and Beast and then helped make cookies. He will sleep until we have to leave to get the other two from school. Then this evening we have something at church for the kids, so it will be a lot of back and forth in the car tonight. Andrew was supposed to have LAX this past weekend but it was rained out. Hopefully he will have his practice this coming weekend. This past weekend I went over to my brother's house and helped him and my mom paint his family room. It was a huge room, but we got it done. I may head back over there this Friday night if I can get someone to watch the kiddies. Pat won't be home in time from work as he is a person down right now and he will have lots of late nights the rest of the week. I may ask JeLynn to watch the yahoos while I paint...it is her house I am working in afterall! This weekend Pat works, Andrew has LAX and there is a school fair I wanted to get to, but I am not sure if that will happen. Jamie has a dance class tomorrow, just want to see if he likes it. I also want to try out the little kids soccer program up the street from us, I think he would like it.
We are getting excited about the possibility of buying my dad's house, Pat and I have lots of great ideas to fix it up and make it a great house. We figure that my full time job, once Jamie goes to full time school, will be working on the house. It will take years to fix it up, but we are up for the work and challenge. We will also be about 5 minutes from my brother and 10 from my sister, and mo mmom will be about 20 minutes away, so we will be a lot closer to everyone.
Well I am going to enjoy to quiet....having Jamie nap on his preschool days is almost like having the whole day to myself!
