Date Night

Yup, you read that right....Pat and I had a date! We don't get out much, so when we do it is big news. The babysitter came over at 5pm and we quickly left, we don't fuss with long good-byes, we just leave. We first hit up the hot night spot of Lowe's and walked around looking at appliances and cabinets. I know, we are a fast paced couple and it is hard to keep up with all we do, so just bare with me. After the appliances and cabinets we hit up, now hold on to your seats..... the door section. We found some really nice front doors that we would like to put in at my dad's house. And the last place we stopped by was to check out some railings that could be used to fix up the front entrance at my dad's house...granted this is all if we still are able to buy that house. Now I know what you are thinking, after all that excitment how could we stand anymore...well we could and we did it up right by hitting up the local gourmet food shop. We scanned the aisles and found many types of honey, spices, wine and beer, not to mention the wooden salad bowl set and the bacon press. It was all very exciting, and we felt we needed to slow down the pace a bit. So we headed to the local steakhouse, where we ordered what else.... chicken. We started the meal off with some poppers, which to me were not at all spicy, but Pat was sweating and tearing up. We had our chicken and then left. On our way home we felt it was way too early to get home, so we went to the movie theatre to see if anything good was playing, there was, but past our bedtime. So instead we hit up the toy store. After the toy store we headed to my favorite local Italian spot and had coffee and cake. We were back late.....8:45pm. It was a fast paced night and we are lucky that we were able to sleep in until 7:30am, we needed the rest after that night. We won't be doing that again anytime soon!
Pat and I did have a nice time together, we don't get a chance to go out without the kids, so when we do it is nice just to be with each other no matter where we go. We find just being together fun, so we can have a great time at the hardware store and toy store. Hopefully our next date will come sooner than 6 months.
