We have had the stomach bug in our house this week, mainly it hit pat first Sunday, but then he was over it pretty quickly; then it hit me sunday night and I am still not able to eat much; Jamie was also hit by it Sunday night, or I should say about 4am Monday morning, and he was over it very quickly. Of course now every time Jamie coughs he thinks he has to "go spit in the toilet", he is a little paranoid. I also found out that my brother was sick Monday as was my brother in law.....we all got together on saturday night, so the germ was there amongst us but we don't know who...although I blame Carson, who we lovingly call Cartman.
Anyways, I am finally getting over the cold I had last week, my stomach is on the mend and all seem to be better. Jamie missed school on Monday and was haooy to be back on Wednesday. After I picked him up he told me all about who he played with in the sand, he even ratted out the kid who was throwing the sand, and he was telling me about his paintings and the songs he sang. He is really enjoying school and it is nice to see him having such a nice time with everyone. He even asked last night when he was going back to school. Today he had his dance class and loved it, Ms. Charlene is the best and he loves the little treats she gives. When he first started dance class he was not too into it, but now he dances all over the place. The recital in May will be lots of fun. Andrew and Kiera have a short week this week for school, so I get all three tomorrow, yeah. No idea what we will do....I do know they will clean their nasty rooms, but other than that I have no plans. Pat gets his bonus this month and we are very happy with it. Considering the way the market is going and how not too much is being built, we are happy to have gotten a bonus at all. We will be paying off some bills and then putting some aside for Christmas and some in savings. I am determined to have something in our savings account. We are trying something new this month where we pay in cash for everything. It has really made me think before I buy something, and so far we seem to be ahead of where we normally are at this point in the month. I am hoping that this will force us to cut back and save something.
My dad comes home at the end of this month, yeah!! He has been gone since June up in Maine. He has enjoyed being up there and seeing family, but he says he is ready to be home and with all of us kids. We will also be able to talk more about us buying his house, which is exciting. We have so much to do here and maybe having a deadlin will force some projects to get done. This winter I will be painting lots, mainly the bathrooms and some trim work in the house.
I am off to get a snack and enjoy a few moments of quiet while Jamie naps...I also need to plan dinner and finish up some laundry.
