baby test run

i was talking with my sister yesterday and she was saying how her husband is now saying he would like to have a child. keep in ind my sister is 38, as is her husband, and they have no pets, no nothing to care for other than themselves. my sister is a wonderful aunt, loves my children with all her heart, as does her husband, but she told me last night that she is not too sure about having a little person with her all the time. i told her that if Keith really wants to see what it is like then they should take Jamie for a little test run. Jamie adores Keith, so whenever I go over there Jamie is all about Uncle Keith. I told Holly that she needs to gently remind Keith that kids are great, however what do they do when a child is sick and one of them has to stay home from work, or that they aren't able to make trips at the last minute, and they can't sleep in on the weekends b/c babies don't know what the weekends are. So, she told me that she will talk with Keith and if he still wants a child then she will suggest they keep Jamie for a weekend, a full weekend. No idea if they would come stay here or if Jamie would go there, but having the human tornado for a few days will change anyone's tune about having a child. Don't get me wrong, I love my little tornado and wouldn't change a thing about him, but if you are new to parenting, Jamie will break you in real nice. We shall see if Keith still wants kids after Jamie is there for a weekend....I have a feeling they may just opt for a dog instead.

We babysat Ryan last night for a few hours while Randy and Katy went to the State game. It was nice to have a little one around, but it just reminded me of how hard it is, especially with two! I think I'm safe for awhile longer without a baby!
