And here is a pic of Andrew back from camp...we really missed his face around here.
Here is the view from the bottom of the stairs in the basement...the carpet has the "new"smell. I am sure the kids will get rid of that soon enough, if not them then the Febreeze I spray will...I love that stuff
This has been a long time coming, but today we got the carpet installed and we have a functioning room. As soon as the carpet guys left, they were very nice and worked through lunch to get the job done, me and the kids got toys downstairs and they got to playing. Needless to say with three kids it did not take long to mess it up, but it was so nice to be able to lay on the floor and watch them play. Granted it was hotter than the gates of Hades down there, but the kids did not care a bit. Pat stated that his HVAC friend will be coming over on the weekend, hopefully, to get the air hooked up. That will be very nice as it is supposed to be 100 here on Monday and Tuesday....just have to love these hot summers. Days like these make me long for fall and the cooler weather and the fresh air actually blowing in the windows.
On other news Jamie didn't nap today and fell asleep at 7pm and it wasn't totally horrible. I put him in his room and he cried for a bit then would be quiet and then would pick up the volume a bit, but he stayed in there until 3pm or so. I figure as long as I can get a break from having him in my pocket then I am ok. And it was awesome to have the kids play in the basement while I was on the phone to my mom this afternoon. I am also dealing with a slight back issue, but am hoping the extra strength tylenol that my sweet husband brought home will help some. My mom thinks I may have a buldging disc b/c I have pain radiating down my leg at times. It started yesterday afternoon and I don't recall doing anything and feeling a pinch, but right now I can't be on my feet for long or I start to bend at the waist b/c I can't stand up straight. If I still have this much pain tomorrow I will call my doctor who treated my back issues way back when. Pat asked what we would do this weekend if I was still in pain(we are watching my brother's kids;I'll have stories next week I am sure) and I told him I will just take lots of pain meds and get over it. I did have two kids with no pian meds so I figure I can deal with a little pain. And what is it the Marines say, "pain is weakness leaving the body" or better yet what my husband says, "pain don't hurt". Do you know he wanted to find shirts that had those statements on them to wear when we had Jamie...how funny would that be to wear in the hospital while in labor. Anyways, it is sore and uncomfortable and that is why I am done sitting here typing...I need to go lay down.
