All the work that needed to be done to the ceiling, walls and carpet from the flood of '08 has been repaired. Only cost us $3K, but no big deal, insurance covered it...let's hope our premiums don't go up now.
We will get our new vanities today and then we can figure out plumbing in the bathroom and then get the vessel sinks. I am not sure on the time frame of the bathroom getting done, but it could be a few months just with Pat's work the way it is and the basement still getting worked on. As for the basement, I am done painting the main walls in the room, yeah! I still have the stairwell to finish priming and paint, and I may have to put on another coast of paint in the bathroom, but not sure. After I am done painting I am going to take a break until fall as I am really tired of looking at paint cans. Pat and my brother got the outside track hung for the drop ceiling this past weekend and they will hang the rest this coming weekend. No idea when we will get the carpet installed as Lowes has yet to call me about it, not sure what is taking so long, but they will most likely get a call from me today. Nothing else has been going on. Kiera is done with swim lessons tomorrow and she has been doing great. I am tired of having to get out of the house each day and pack up everything under the sun and then chase after the little ones at the pool. Granted this week we have not done the pool as I am still tired from the Sunday pool excitment. Jamie was wild, ran all over the place at my mom's pool and at one point ran to the 8 foot section and started to climb down the stairs. I am also just getting to the point of being really run down. So the house looks like poo, I don't care; we have been eating pb&j for dinner, I don't care; laundry is piling up; I don't care. Do you see the trend...I don't care b/c I am too darn tired to care. August 25th can not come fast enough. I love my kids, but they need to be in school all day and not be in my pocket all day...I often tell Kiera I have a wocket in my pocket, and it is her and Jamie.
Also on another kid note, sort of, some of you may know that I have been looking at getting another tattoo, something for the kids. I had thought I would get this one of a mermaid holding a baby and have three flowers placed in her hair, one for each kid. Then I had thought about three dogwood flowers since they were all born in NC. My latest thought is of getting tattoos of what they love the most, like Kiera's stuffed elephant Pookey, Jamie's giraffe, and the lamb Andrew used to carry with him when he was a baby. I don't think I would do them just one by themselves on different spots of my body, but all three together, just not sure how. So, can you see me walking into the tattoo shop with three stuffed animals and asking them to draw something??? Maybe they have seen weirder things, but it will be a sight, me and the stuffed animals.
