My mom and I took Kiera to see Disney on Ice Saturday afternoon. It started off well enough, until we get inside and Kiera wants something. I had planned on getting her something small. She picked out a stuffed Mater for Jamie, he loves Mater, and then she picked out an Ariel doll for herself. I asked he before we bought it is that is what she wanted and she said yes, but a few steps away from the counter she throws a fit saying she didn't want Ariel, she wanted the stuffed Flounder. huh?! She never once asked for the darn Flounder. So she was "that kid" ...sitting on the floor, refusing to get up and crying. So I pick her up, my mom carries all the stuff and she calms down. Then leaving, she won't hold hands in the parking lot, again, being a brat. So because of her dreadful behavior and it seems that she needs some reinforcement, we are using tokens for her to earn in order to be able to have certain priviledges...like watching tv, using the computer, or listening to her radio at night. So far, she is doing well and really likes it when she gets a token...she already used one this morning to watch 30 minutes of tv. We will see how this goes and if things don't change she may be sent off to military school early.
