Lighting of the town Tree

Friday night Kiera's drama/chorus class performed at the town tree lighting ceremony. It isn't really a huge tree, a large holly tree, but it is fun for the kids to get out and have some hot cocoa and see them turn the lights on. I am biased and will say that last year's ceremony was way better; Pat's leadership class did it and it was awesome. This year was a bit of a dissapointment, but that won't keep us from seeing it next year. And I am sure we will be there as Kiera performs again! She is the little entertainer. She did all the moves and knew all the words to the songs, I think they did 5, and she had the best facial expression. I wasn't able to see as there were so many people in front that blocked my view(I was a bit irritated with that) but Pat taped it and we watched it when we came home. On the up side my mom and I found a cute resale shop and I plan to head back to get some things for the kids. I didn't really look for me, but if I find something I am sure I will pick it up.
Yesterday was a long day. Pat was busy running errands and doing things around the house, so I had the yahoos. By 4pm I was done and left to the store to get a few moments to myself. Kiera was nonstop talk, still is, but it was just enough. Jamie is sick, eyes are goopy and swollen, nose runny, fever and cough. He has been a real trooper though, he still tries to play and run around but you know he feels like poop. Pat is still off work tomorrow so we will take Jamie shopping after we drop the other two off at school. We found a cool skateboard helmet for Andrew and have a few stocking things to get for the kids. We are pretty much going to be done tomorrow if Jamie will hold out and let us get to the stores, and we are way under budget! First time ever that we have stayed under budget, we may have some left over for a anniversary dinner at the end of this month...woohoo!
Our bathroom is still not usable. Pat got the grout sealed and is going to place the toilet in, hopefully, tomorrow if not tonight. Then we just need a shower, sink and drywall put up and we will be in business!
Our dog is doing good, she seems to be gaining weight and eats all the time, and eats everything...even poop! So I looked up why dogs eat poop, very intersting stuff. But based on what it says I am going to try feeding her three times a day...yup we have a fatty. But it did say it could be from stress too, and considering all that is going on in our house, she could very well be stressed still trying to get settled.
Andrew has a few more LAX practices and then we are done until spring. He has shown interest in a camp at the naval academy this summer for lacrosse, so he may head there for a few days. Can't believe he will be 11 in January. We are thinking of doing a small party for him and a few friends. I may see if there is a paintball place we can take them to one Saturday. I tell Pat I think paintball would be a great thing for us to do, get out any frustration you have with your spouse while you nail them with paintballs.
Oh well, that is all that is going on here, I am off to help Pat make dinner ...have a nice week!
